Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Mapplo is operated by Sylow, a company based in Mexico. This policy explains what we collect through the Mapplo waitlist site, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email rmartinez@sylow.mx.

2. What we collect

• Your email address — only when you submit it to join the waitlist.
• Your IP address — used transiently to rate-limit signups and kept for no more than one hour. It is never stored alongside your email, and our logs record only a one-way SHA-256 hash of it, never the raw address.
• Your country — read from a Vercel geo header so we can show the site and waitlist email in your language. We do not store it.
• Anonymous page-view metadata — via Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless: no cookies, no device fingerprinting, and no individual visitor records.

3. Why we collect it

• To notify you when Mapplo launches (your email).
• To prevent abuse and spam of the signup form (your IP, briefly).
• To understand aggregate traffic so we can improve the site (analytics).

4. Who we share it with

We use a small set of trusted processors and share nothing else with anyone:

• Resend — stores your waitlist email and sends the thank-you email.
• Vercel — hosts the site and provides cookieless analytics.
• Upstash — stores the short-lived rate-limit counter.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising networks or third-party trackers.

5. How long we keep it

• Email: until you unsubscribe — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
• IP address: at most one hour, then it expires automatically.
• Analytics: aggregated only; there are no individual rows to retain.

6. Your rights under Mexican law (LFPDPPP)

If you are in Mexico, you have ARCO rights — Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Objection — over your personal data. You may exercise them at any time using the contact details below.

7. Your rights under the GDPR (EU/UK visitors)

If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, port, restrict, and object to the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. Your rights under the CCPA (California residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we hold, the right to request its deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

9. How to exercise your rights

Email rmartinez@sylow.mx with the subject Privacy request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

10. Cookies & tracking

We use no cookies and no third-party trackers on this site. Our analytics (Vercel Analytics) is cookieless and aggregated on the server — it cannot identify you individually.

11. Children

Mapplo is not directed at children under 13. If we learn that we have collected a child's email address, we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and we will email waitlist members about any material changes.
