1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing the Mapplo website, joining the waitlist, or downloading and using the Mapplo app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or the app.

2. The service

Mapplo is an educational geography-quiz app from Sylow. This website (mapplo.vercel.app) advertises the app and lets you join a pre-launch waitlist. The Mapplo mobile app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

3. Use of the service

You may use Mapplo for personal, non-commercial learning. You agree not to misuse the service — including submitting other people's email addresses without permission, reverse-engineering the app, using automated systems to access it, or attempting to disrupt or overload the service.

4. Eligibility

Mapplo is not directed at children under 13. You must be old enough to consent to receiving email under the laws of your country to join the waitlist.

5. The waitlist

Joining the waitlist means we will email you about Mapplo's launch and related updates. Submitting an email does not guarantee access, pricing, or any specific feature. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

6. Mapplo Pro

Mapplo Pro is an optional one-time purchase of $9.99 USD that unlocks extras like unlimited hearts, streak insurance and additional daily reminders. The core app — all quiz modes and the offline atlas — is free. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase. Mapplo Pro is not a subscription: there is no recurring charge and nothing to renew.

Because Mapplo Pro is a one-time purchase, there is nothing to cancel. If you reinstall Mapplo or move to a new device, you can restore your purchase from within the app at no extra cost. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google Play under their standard store policies.

7. Data and privacy

Mapplo stores your preferences and favorites locally on your device. Country data and flag images are sourced from the REST Countries API and cached locally for offline use. If you purchase Mapplo Pro, billing and entitlement data are processed by RevenueCat, including device identifiers and the RevenueCat-generated app user ID. 8. Intellectual property

All content, design, and code in Mapplo are protected by intellectual property laws. The Mapplo name, logo, copy, and design are owned by Sylow. Flag images are in the public domain. You may not reproduce or distribute the app or website without permission.

9. Disclaimer

Mapplo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for accuracy, geographic and demographic data may not always reflect the latest changes. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that Mapplo will launch on any particular date.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sylow is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or the app.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the website or app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, where Sylow is based.
